The Shrine of Jo Su Gong Naka or the Cloudy Sky Monastery of Jo Su Gong uses the name “Hun Jong Aam”, which means “Cloudy Sky Monastery”. The shrine was established by Hokkien Chinese who migrated to work as tin miners during the fourth and early fifth reigns in large numbers. They brought with them sacred objects they revered. Later, they constructed a shrine in the area they lived in. It began as a small building with a thatched roof, and later became a brick and mortar building with murals on the walls.

The legend states that the shrine was built in 2499 B.E. and has been renovated several times. Since 2555, the shrine underwent a major renovation by devotees from Ban Naka, Wichit Sub-district, who had come to live in Phuket. This renovation raised the height of the shrine, painted the building bright yellow in order to make it more eye-catching, and expanded the roof structure. However, the original artwork and images were retained. The original muralist was a descendant of Hokkien Chinese in Phuket, and today there are still those who continue his artistic legacy.

In addition, the surrounding landscape was renovated, and the construction was completed in 2556 B.E.

Within the premises, the walls are adorned with murals depicting tales of Chinese deities and adorned with vibrant red paint. In the central hall, there is an altar table with altar burners and candles for worshipping Jo Su Gong. In the entrance hall, there exists a table designated for the worship of Tee Gong Sae, the Earth God. The table is adorned with four shrine pillars that are intricately carved with dragons intertwined around them. At the top of the stairs, there is a pair of large, striking golden lions.
