History:
Jeng Ong Shrine is a shrine of the God Ma Wu Wang, or Tai, the prince of Green Mountain. Originally, this shrine was the land of the Thongton family, and it was sold to the Boonsoong family later. It’s considered one of the oldest shrines in Phuket. The area next to the shrine is spacious. There is a shrine and an area for various ceremonies.
The original shrine was a small-thatched roof building later. It was rebuilt into a two-section building with very impressive architecture. The new shrine was completed in 2007 with a three-part roof, decorated with statues of various gods and dragons, and the building was raised high with three staircases. Within the shrine hall, there exist three distinct units. The central unit has a paining of the principal deity of the shrine, Jeng Ong. On the front of the alar, there are sculplures of Lui Hu Ong Eia, Tia Hu Ong Eia, Dtian Hu Nguan Soi, Li Hu Ong Eia, Liu Hu Ong Eia, Li Lo Xia, Li Bog Xia, and Li Kim Xia.
On the leit side, there is a statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Ma-jor-Po with her soldiers, Zhu Sheng Niang Niang. On the right side, there are Guan Yu, Lim Hao Tai Seu, Hian Tian Song Tae, Goy Seng Ong Tian Tian Sue, Pun Thao Kong, Poh Seng Tai Tay etc.
